Douglas County Repository
To Collect Or Not To Collect
What is Archaeology?
What is lost when artifacts are taken from a site by a nonprofessional?
Why is artifact and site recording so important?
Who do you contact if you find an artifact?
What can you do with your collection(s)?
Please leave collecting to the professionals.
Finding an artifact could be a sign of a site and could be valuable to our History.
Finding one projectile point in its place is worth more than a shoebox of arrowheads with no location.
Please Preserve Our Cultural Memory
