STAUNTON CABIN TOUR
Staunton State Park
Thursday, June 27, 2024 ~ 8:45am - 2:00pm
Drs Archibald and Rachael Staunton built their homestead cabin in Pine, CO in 1918. Rachael lived on the land for 7 months out of each year for 5 years raising crops and animals. Her husband maintained his medical practice in Denver, joining his wife on the weekends. Their only daughter, Frances, donated 1720 acres to the State of Colorado in 1986 to become a state park. The park opened in 2013 and the cabin opened to the public 10 years later. This is the 2nd season offering tours.

Tour begins at 10am and picnic lunch to follow (bring your own water, food, sunscreen, hat and comfortable shoes). Lavatory available at Lazy V Parking Lot.
